I started Molly Bakes in 2009 after being unemployed for six months. With plenty of spare time on my hands I discovered a love for baking, I knew I didn’t want an office job again so I spent all my time practising and experimenting with cupcake recipes and that’s how Molly Bakes was born.
My real name is Mary but I’m known as Maria. My nickname is Mary Lou but my hubby calls me Momo.
And as if that isn’t confusing enough, I named Molly Bakes by putting our names together. Maria + Olly = Molly but don’t call me that! Got it?
